About the Painting

Open Door was inspired by the promise in Revelation 3:8:

“See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut.”

As I painted, I had a strong impression of a door God Himself had opened—a door that no person or circumstance could ever close.

The woman stands facing the light, reminding us to lift our eyes above our circumstances and fix our gaze on Jesus. He is the Door (John 10:9), the One who leads us into hope, peace, and the Father’s presence.

If you are standing before a closed door today, remember this: when God opens a door, no one can shut it. And when He closes one, we can trust that He already sees the way ahead.
