My name is Elisabeth Grøtte, and I am a Norwegian Christian artist living on the beautiful west coast of Norway. Through my paintings and films, I hope to share the hope, peace and love I have found in Jesus.

My Story
For nearly twenty years, I worked as a nurse, caring for people through some of life’s most difficult moments. Art was never part of my plan.
Then, in the autumn of 2018, something unexpected happened.
I began seeing beautiful colours and images in my heart. I didn’t know what they meant, but I felt God gently inviting me into something new. I prayed a simple prayer:
“Lord, if these paintings are from You, teach me how to paint.”
A few months later, I felt the Holy Spirit nudge me to take out my daughter’s old painting supplies. I had never painted before, yet I picked up a brush and began.
That first painting changed everything.
Since then, painting has become much more than creating beautiful artwork. Every piece begins in prayer and grows from quiet moments with God. Through Scripture, worship, nature, and everyday life, He continues to place images on my heart that become paintings filled with hope, peace, healing, and His love.
My desire is simple.
To create artwork that helps people pause, breathe, and encounter the heart of God.
Whether you are discovering one of my paintings, watching a film from my studio by the sea, or simply spending a few moments here, my hope is that you leave with a little more peace, hope, and wonder than when you arrived.
